Airlines
Singapore
Airlines - Singaporeans tend to complain that they get 2nd Class treatment
on their own Airline. My own experience has always been excellent. My
guess is that the cabin crew just don't like to serve the typical "kiasu"
I-want-I-want attitude many Singaporeans have. - Tim.
Qantas Airways - Decent
airline to travel on.
As far as he can help it,
Tim will never fly that "World's Favourite Airline"
ever again. It was a horrible experience just that one time. This
wasn't a unique experience, lots of people got the same treatment.
Their arrogance and treatment of PAYING customers leaves one speechless.
Tim has made it his personal CRUSADE to tell everyone he knows,
NOT TO FLY BA.

Read the book "Dirty Tricks:
BA's Secret War Against Virgin Atlantic" by Martyn
Gregory. Amazing stuff! I had originally thought that my experiences
with BA could be blamed on certain staff members. Having read the
book, I realised that it was their corporate culture! -

Travel Agents
Chan
Brothers Travel - We recently had a wonderful
trip to Perth, Australia and it was GREATLY facilitated by the wonderful
service provided by our agent (Emily Koh) at Chan Brothers. She went
above and beyond the call of duty as far as we were concerned! <<Update:
Emily has, unfortunately, left the company some time ago.>>
Travel Websites
Lonely
Planet - Great resource (their books too!) and invaluable travel
companion.
Fodors
- Another popular series of travel guidebooks.
Conde

site. Should be known as Travelling for the Rich and Famous.
Yahoo! Travel
- Typical Yahoo! efficiency in getting together everything related to
travel.
Lycos Travel
- Lycos version.
Google>Recreation>Travel
- Google directory of Travel related sites. Go there to find plenty
of other travel sites.
Travel Advisories and Information
eCitizen
- Travel - Singapore Government's website with all the relevant
links for Singaporeans travelling abroad. Links to information, visa
and NS exit permit application, flight and cruise timetables.
US Bureau of
Consular Affairs - THE place to check for "travel advisories"...
Where NOT to go in the world if you don't work for CNN or the
BBC.
