Tim's
BioSoftware Page On this page, you can find bioinformatics and biosoftware related content. I've written some simple tools for use in my research work and thought I'd make them available to anyone who might need them. Right now, I've only put up one, SeqPicker, since the rest aren't quite polished enough for distribution. If you find this site useful, or if you have suggestions for improvements or just to report any bugs, please let me know. Thanks. |

SeqPicker Release 1.0 (77KB)
Zip file containing a Microsoft Word 97 template file with the applet code and a file containing the complete Epstein-Barr viral genome sequence for testing. Description:
SeqPicker is a user-friendly freeware applet written specifically
for Microsoft Word that performs simple sequence manipulations. It can
be used to locate, select and copy a defined sequence from a much larger
DNA sequence for use in other programs. SeqPicker can therefore
simplify sequence analysis by isolating only those sequences relevant
to the current analysis. Large sequences that cannot fit into the memory
of freeware sequence tools can also be broken into several smaller files
in user-defined segments. Screenshot. |
