[eclectyx] - What is eclectyx?

As the tagline suggests, the word eclectyx is derived from a concatenation of
the words "eclectic mix". The deliberate (mis?)spelling of the word includes
the letter T and the letter Y, being the letters of our initials. Afterall, this is
the homepage of Tim and Yi Peng.

Eclectic is an often misused word. To quote the Cambridge dictionary:

(of methods, beliefs, ideas, etc.) combining whatever seem the best
or the most useful things from many different areas or systems,
rather than following a single system

This describes, quite accurately, what we wanted to do with our website.
We wanted to have a collection of homepages of each of our disparate
interest areas and to combine all of these as best we can.
